Helen Nicholson is an illustrator based in Lewes in East Sussex.
Her work takes inspiration from the natural world - the downs and the sea, ferns, lichens and mosses - and also from storytelling and folklore.
Above all, she loves a good story, be it a children’s book, a play, history, a fairytale, or a novel.
She graduated from the University of Sussex in 2014 and from Camberwell College of Arts in 2018.
Clients include: Little, Brown Book Group; September Publishing; Bad Betty Press, and Cunning Folk Magazine.
She also works with children as an outdoor instructor and forest school teacher.
